My name is Maria,
I am a floral artist specializing in lush florals for intimate gatherings of up to 100 and commissioned floral arrangements that take your breath away.
My studio, is located in Southern California, where I reside with my husband, daughter and fur babies.
The studio is a creative space dedicated to thoughtful collaboration with my clients. I do not believe in waste and only offer fresh made to order florals that I purchase on your behalf and design just for you.
If you are looking for a special arrangement for a gift, something for your home or planning a wedding or elopement, I would love to help you bring your vision to life.
I have always loved being in the garden surrounded by nature and designing with flowers. I love working with unique textures and bright colors.
Flowers add a timeless beauty to our environment and generate joy and comfort to all. I love adding little scented surprises from my garden to elevate your designs with scents. Growing flowers from my studio garden allows me to enjoy the natural world, watch nature come to life.
I started my creative journey in 1989 in the visual arts and I have continued my studies through the years. I am a firm believer in continued education, you are never too old to learn something new. Going back to college in my late forties to study ornamental horticulture, attending workshops and learning from the best designers from around the world has helped me to grow as a person and as a designer and because of this I can offer my clients a unique design prospective.
In the last few years I have been shifting to more sustainable practices, growing some of my own foliages and trying to shop locally sourced and seasonal flowers. I want to support our local flower farmers and businesses, by buying American grown flowers whenever possible. When we buy local, seasonally blooms, by color palettes and textures instead of being flower specific we can enjoy the natural bounty that Mother Nature and the seasons provide while helping our local economy.
Let us all do our part in helping support our local growers.
The flowers pictured in this bouquet are repurposed and ten days old, They have been repurposed into this amazing Woodland Botanical Bouquet.
We can all play a small part in protecting our natural resources in many ways. To learn more about sustainable practices and the Slow Flower Movement follow some of the hashtags below on social media.
